Musehum is committed to researching solutions and methodologies that promote ethics and digital citizenship. The museum tells stories of human communications from the 19th century to nowadays, with more than 130,000 pieces on display and in the Technical Reserve – but it also aims to always look ahead. The technological leaps that characterize the Information Age are increasingly changing the way we communicate and relate to one another, opening space to new behaviors. Based on the analysis of contemporary phenomena and its collection, with the support of the Federal Law for Cultural Incentives – Rouanet Law, Musehum began reviewing its museological plan and defined new strategic research axes for its work in the coming years:
– Media literacy in the information age: ethics and citizenship in the 21st century
– Talking to machines: human communication in the future of AI
– Technological decolonization: the power of change within people’s reach
– Possible dialogues in the Anthropocene: communication technologies to (re)invent the future
